2017-2018 年度大埔區傑出青年選舉頒獎禮已於1月20日(星期六)舉行，本校學生 4C 何瑋縉(本年度副學術領袖生長)榮獲大埔區傑出青年(中學組)，在此恭賀得獎同學。
2017年12月9-10日為本校「二十周年校慶開放日」，透過各科組展覽、科學實驗、趣味攤位遊戲、體驗課及才藝表演，展示本校課程特色及學生學習成果，讓參觀者寓了解於參觀當中。兩天活動合共超過20間學校，500位家長，老師和學生蒞臨參觀，場面熱鬧，蓬蓽生輝。
第四屆靈風杯大埔區小學籃球比賽已於2017年12月9日完滿結束，當天有8隊男子隊及7隊女子隊參加，比賽氣氛熱鬧，場面緊張刺激，經過一輪龍爭虎鬥，各組別終於分出勝負，賽果如下：

We had our first English Speaking Day by celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday 26th October. Students spent the whole week earning play money by speaking to teachers in English. Students worked hard to practise their English skills and so too did many non-English teachers. We finished with a big Thanksgiving Food Fair at lunch time. Hundreds of students exchanged their coins for turkey, roast potatoes and other thanksgiving foods and gifts. We had a fantastic time and hope you look forward to our next English Activity Day.

本校普通話科有幸邀請到「遊劇場」於九月廿六日到本校演出普通話話劇《歇後嶼山》，富趣味性又有教育意思，而且互動性高，令初中師生均獲良多。
2017 年度大埔區傑出學生選舉頒獎禮已於10月7日(星期六)舉行，本校學生 6A 班徐佩欣(16-17年副學術領袖生長)榮獲大埔區傑出學生，在此恭賀得獎同學。
On 30th September, LSC held the trip to Madame Tussauds Hong Kong for part of S.2 students. 21 students and two English teachers went to Madame Tussauds Museum to see many wax statues of different celebrities. They also joined an English workshop about the history of Madame Tussauds and the wax figure making process, such as moulding and eyeball making. Students found the visit very fruitful and they look forward to another interesting and rewarding English activity.
通識科在今年暑假前推薦4A賴文龍同學參與由香港科技協進會主辦之「善德關愛科研青年發展計劃 – 2017北京、西安航天科技發展考察團」，與其他百多位中三至中五同學到內地交流。在7日6夜的考察團中，賴同學先後參觀國家天文台、中國工程院、航天科技活動中心等地，認識中國航天發展。另外，在航天科技活動中心的火箭設計比賽當中，賴同學所屬的組別更取得二等獎，表現出色，值得嘉許。
